I cannot deny it’s really sad and had me in tears towards the end, but I still can’t stand kids acting, and some of the shots feel SO awkward/unnatural to the point where it took me out of the moment several times (not to mention all the freeze frames on their faces throughout)

I quite enjoyed the musical numbers and I'm almost ashamed to admit the last scene with Kronk and Papi made me cry, but overall it felt like there was no sense of direction throughout (and Yzma's not a cat anymore! (...except for that))

So insanely cute, heartwarming, and heartbreaking, basically constant tears streaming down my face from about half-way in until the end 😭

Nostalgia bias affected my score here. It's really really cheesy and I cringed at times, but kid-me absolutely loved this film and it's exactly as I remember 🀣

edit: Just gone to watch the original fake the actual Ray Santilli made in 1995, it's CRAZY how accurately they replicated it for this!

While I still thoroughly enjoyed this episode, and the trio are still very entertaining, I've started to find the Specials formula quite predictable and repetitive. Both Top Gear and The Grand Tour have been very consistent and strangely important parts of my life so far, and I think I'm finally ready to say goodbye soon, even if I don't want to 😭
