Every three months, I have to go to the office for two days. Despite only having done the first day so far, I am already so exhausted. If I lived closer (ie. Within a walking or biking distance of about 15 minutes) and could duck out early if I needed a break, I might be able to tolerate going in more. I'm not even driving myself, and I am so grateful I'm able to get a lift in, but the sheer amount of time it takes sat in a car in traffic just drains all the energy out of me.
Had this melody and chord pattern in my head for like a year now, somewhat inspired by ELO's Twilight and various Frost* songs. It's got a 2 minute long epic intro and I've barely started the first verse 😎
Am I making prog rock now? I sure hope so! It's one of my favourite genres but always seemed unapproachable as massively complicated to actually make, but ya gotta start somewhere!

Started time tracking again recently to try and figure out what was wrong with me. I didn't need the results to figure out what it was 😏 (hint: the act of timetracking, and for the reason I specified, was enough). So now I'm in two minds about continuing or not, because realistically it serves no purpose, but visualising it looks so coooool

Had three domains expiring tomorrow and I've finally pulled the plug on them slightly ahead of time. A shame, really, because one of them was really short that I planned on using for shortlinks, if I had the time and mental energy to actually start the project up 🥺

Conveniently timed, I've been slowly working on a fancy lil web-component in plain javascript for my website, that embeds a nice player for my .opus files, something cohost can't do 😎😎 (although encoding and uploading them is a very manual process in comparison, and needs two files instead of just one, using the very Apple-specific CAF (Core Audio Format) container, because the three-trillion-dollar company didn't want to support opus normally like literally every other browser. So you win this round, cohost - I respect you).
Oh, cohost supporting audio now is sick! That makes posting new songs here wayyy easier 🤩🤩

Without going into too much detail, I hinted about my health in a recent blog post, so now I'm going to take some time off work to recover, because it's gotten preeeetty bad over the last couple of weeks. See that "Todo" note I posted a week ago? Yeah it turns out I really wasn't kidding when I said "relax" 'cause boy do I need to 😅

Why is dunking biscuits in tea normal and acceptable, but when the biscuit falls off and at the end you're left with the slushy remains at the bottom of the mug, it's gross and you can't stomach the thought of drinking (?) it, even though they're basically the same thing 😏

Finally cleared the living room of all the clutter and cardboard boxes (one of which includes the Christmas tree box I mentioned yesterday). I'm so so so glad it's done now, but also annoyed that it took a carpet consultation - or simply put, having a stranger in my house - to get me to do it 😖 It's so empty in here, what do I do with all the space?!

Going into the loft for the first time in months. I need to finish putting the screws for the ladder in, and putting my christmas tree box up there! I think I've just been afraid to go up there for months because I had a squirrel incident a couple of years ago...
